This page explains what information this blog collects, how it is used, and your choices. It applies to the blog at https://inakm.github.io/posts/, operated by Anjani Kumar Mishra (AKM).

1. What this site collects

This blog is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages.

  • Hosting logs. GitHub, as the hosting provider, may record standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in line with its own Privacy Statement. The blog operator does not use analytics or tracking scripts and does not collect personal information directly.
  • No contact forms. The blog does not ask you to submit personal data. The only way to contact the operator is by email (inakm@proton.me).

2. Browser-stored data (localStorage)

The blog stores a few small preferences in your own browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to the site:

  • Your font size preference for articles.
  • API keys you optionally enter for the AI Summary tool, saved locally so you do not have to paste them each time.
  • A one-time flag confirming you have seen this privacy notice.

These are not cookies and are not used for tracking or advertising.

3. Comments

Articles may offer comments through utterances, a widget powered by GitHub Issues. Posting a comment publishes it publicly to a GitHub repository and is governed by GitHub’s Privacy Statement. Please do not share personal information in public comments.

4. Advertising (future)

Advertising on this blog is not currently enabled. If third-party advertising is added in the future, Google, as an advertising partner, may use cookies (including the Google AdSense / DoubleClick cookie) to serve and personalize ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since the blog stores no personal data itself, questions can be directed to inakm@proton.me and will be answered promptly.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For any privacy questions or concerns, contact inakm@proton.me.
